This years’ theme was focused on our:

90th ANNIVERSARY

Our members stood proud as they marched through the streets of the City we built wearing our commemorative jackets and hats as a sign of solidarity the.

Toronto & York Region Labour Council and their Executive Board who is responsible for the organization of the parade voted unanimously to have LIUNA Local 506 lead this years’ Labour Day Parade in recognition of our 90th Anniversary. Led by our Business Manager  Carmen Principato and the Executive Board, our Members we’re proud to have with us our International Vice President and Regional Manager Joseph S. Mancinelli and our Director of our Tri-Fund Cosmo Manella and representatives of our Ontario Provincial District Council by our side.

Our float designed to reflect our past and present received an award from the Labour Council and our Local Union received an overall award for the largest turn out from both the Labour Council and the Central Ontario Building Trades.

As a token of appreciation for the successful turn out, the Executive Board concluded the parade with two $500 raffle prizes won by our Brothers Roman Bouina and Victor Real.

It was a proud moment for all as our Members stood strong as they have over the past 90 years. This display of solidarity is the strength we hold that gives us the commitment to overcome the struggles workers face for decades to come.
